The guide behind this site
Björn Einarsson is an Icelandic tour guide who has spent years walking groups through the same three stops this site writes about. Everything published here passes through him.
Who Björn is
Björn has guided professionally in Iceland since 2020. Since 2022 his work has centered on the Golden Circle, taking international visitors through Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. By his own count he has hosted more than 1,000 travelers on Icelandic routes.
He is a local with deep roots here. The rift at Þingvellir, the Viking history argued into law on that plain, the way Strokkur telegraphs an eruption a second early with a swelling blue dome: this is his daily material, not a research topic. His tours are known for calm pacing, an eye on safety, and making Iceland's geology and history land with people seeing it for the first time.
What Björn does for this site
He is the reviewer, not the seller. The three tours featured here are run by their real operators, Nicetravel, Gray Line Iceland and EastWest, and booked on their official Viator and GetYourGuide listings. Björn does not lead those departures. What he does is check what we publish: inclusions, durations, group sizes, pickup logistics and cancellation terms against the live listings, and route facts against primary sources like thingvellir.is, road.is and safetravel.is, as of each page's publish date.
How this site earns its keep
Booking links on this site are affiliate links to Viator and GetYourGuide. Book through them and the operator pays us a commission; your price does not change. That model only works if you trust the recommendations, which is why prices we cannot pin down are never invented, ratings are always the platforms' own current figures, and the honest cons of each tour sit right on its page. The full policy is on the disclosure page.
What we will not publish
- Invented numbers, ratings or review counts. Every figure is the listing's or the primary source's own.
- First-person claims about experiences the author has not had.
- Stale prices dressed up as current. Where a platform shows prices only in its booking flow, we say so and link it.
- Countdown timers, fake scarcity, or urgency the listing itself does not show.
